The Cherwell Journal

The Cherwell Journal

All Sixth Form students are invited to write for the Cherwell Journal - an online collection of articles where students explore topics beyond the standard curriculum. It offers a great opportunity to demonstrate independent thinking, delve into personal passions, and showcase readiness for university or future career steps.

Many students use their articles to focus their thoughts, reflect on what they’ve learned, and turn their knowledge into action. Writing for the journal is also an excellent springboard for crafting a compelling, competitive personal statement in Year 13.

This summer, thirteen Year 12 and 13 students entered our Summer Journal Challenge. They were tasked with writing a 500–800 word non-fiction article in any style.
