Destinations

At The Cherwell School, we set “no limits” for our young people, ensuring every individual is nurtured, challenged, and supported to flourish both academically and socially. The vast majority of our Sixth Form students progress from A-Levels to Higher Education, taking full advantage of a rich and ambitious curriculum that genuinely opens up the world to them. Our students embrace opportunities across a broad spectrum of disciplines—from Law, History, Accounting and Finance, Philosophy, Politics and Economics to Medicine, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, and Psychology. Reflecting our commitment to multiple, meaningful progression routes, students also pursue high-level Degree Apprenticeships and prestigious Art Foundation courses.

Embodying our values of Responsibility and Kindness, many of our students choose to take a gap year to broaden their horizons and grow as global citizens. Some enter the workforce to build self-reliance and finance future plans; others immerse themselves in volunteer projects worldwide or live abroad to develop language fluency and cross-cultural understanding. Whether securing deferred entry in Year 13 or returning to us during their gap year, every individual receives ongoing support, advice, and guidance as they navigate their UCAS applications and take ownership of their future pathways.
